What is it?
A chess program (one that plays, not a chess board).
It can also play shuffle chess/chess960.
Play against it
How it works
This page explains how to install Embla in Arena.
If you would like to play against Embla on a Mac, see this page.
Please note: Embla is a UCI chess engine.
You can find ready-made packages for Debian and other Linux distributions in this location. It also contains a zip-file with a Microsoft_Windows 64 bit exe (compiled using Cygwin).
For opening book you can use any polyglot book file. E.g. the ones from rebel.
The source code can be retrieved from GitHub.
